More news on the site update
Written by Siguršur V. Smįrason

I'd like to save the forums, as I think there is quite a lot of good information there, and the easiest way to do that is to upgrade to Kunena forum component (a distant relative to the current outdated and no longer existing forum component).

In order for that to happen I need to upgrade my hosting to php5.  That wouldn't be so bad except that this is the only machine I have to test out EnduranceLog on php4. So I need some user input, is php4 dead and we can safely move on to php5 only development or are some of you still running your sites on php4?

I've started a thread in the forums, hopefully someone will voice their opinion. Smile

Hi all,

Yes, the downloads are down.  I'm in the middle of upgrading this site to the latest and the greatest of Joomla so bear with me folks.  Until the updates are finalized you can access the latest component files by following this link:

New rc candidate out - big news
Written by Siguršur V. Smįrason
Friday, 24 October 2008

Ok we are now at rc3 which is the last release candidate before I will (finally!) put this out as a final version and officially out of beta.

The biggest change from rc2 is that it is now 1.5native compatible!  You heard right, no more legacy mode for this component.

I also added the two fixes that cropped up in rc2 and added the true type font hack for the graph so that most UTF-8 characters should show up correctly in the legend.

One caveat for the 1.5native is that the mysql database must be set up in UTF-8 charset, or at least that is how I understand it.  That means that mysql versions lower that 4 are out.

So, head on over to the download section and grab the new release candidate.

RC2 is out!

Ok, the rc2 is out.  Get it while it's hot!

There are some goodies in there, first and foremost is the Gym workout element.  There is already one implemented in the full version of the component, but the upgraders need to play around with it on their own.  Nothing to it though, just add a new element of type "Gym Exercise"to any existing group or create a new group for it.  Select how many sets are displayed, publish it and voila. That's all there is to it.

Also in this release are numerous bug fixes, mostly to do with custom categories and how they behave in the frontend as well as some pagination errors in the backend.  I did manage to find the elusive "first entry disapears" bug and fixed it as well.

As always I shall wait for your bug reports with great anticipation Smile

Small delay in rc2

Just letting you know that there is a small delay in rc2 coming out.  Some last minute errors in the install needed to be fixed before it can be released, but it will definitely happen before the weekend.
